Abstract

Deflation that occurred in May 2011 due to a decrease in the index in four groups of spending and the increase in the index in the three groups of expenditures. Fourth group expenditure index declines group Foodstuffs index decreased by -1.43 percent and -0.87 percent for group Clothing, group Education, Recreation and Sports at -0.03 percent and Transport, Communications and Services Finance of -1.86 percent. Increased expenditure groups indices namely the Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco increased by 0.54 percent, the group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuels by 0.14 percent, and 0.06 percent Healthcare group.
