Abstract

Deflation that occurred in March 2012 due to a decline in the index in two (2) groups of expenditure and the increase in the index of 5 (five) expenditure groups. Expenditure group index declines namely the Education, Recreation and Sports of -0.01 percent. and groups of Transport, Communications and Financial Services at -5.37 percent. While the group experienced an increase in the index that is experienced by the group Foodstuffs index increase of 0.14 percent, the group Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco by 0.46 percent, the group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel of 1.17 percent, Health group by 0.26 percent, and the group of 0.41 percent Clothing.
